Red Coat & Snow

Happy Sunday! I am so beyond grateful and blessed that south Texas had snow come this year! This is so rare and it was truly a Christmas miracle. Before the snow melted I got a picture in my fav red coat that I get compliments everytime I wear. I could not find the exact coat but I found similar ones that I love just as much.

Christmas Tree Decorations

It’s that time of year again for Christmas trees, stockings, presents, mistletoes and good times with family. My favorite holiday is by far Christmas so right after Thanksgiving, I start putting up my Christmas decorations so I can enjoy them longer.  The lights, the reason for the season and all the merry! I wanted to share with yall my decorations that I use to make my tree so festive!

Here is a glimpse of my Christmas decor this year:) I am very into red, green and champagne colors for my decor. The green & red make it very traditional while the champagne gives it a sparkly, classy, chic look:)

Then most of my other decor I have stocked up over the years. But below shop a couple of my fav items for Christmas decorations. Off White Sweater with a Pop of Color

Happy Wednesday! I am still in shock that Thanksgiving is tomorrow because this year is flown by! Tomorrow I will be spending it with my family here in Texas and enjoying all the yummy food. I am so thankful for so much in my life and so grateful to be able to celebrate. What are your plans for this Thanksgiving?

So, this outfit is more simple but with the pop of color just makes me love it anymore. You can never go wrong with a great off-white sweater. In my opinion, it is so classy and can be dressed up or down. I really like it paired with ripped jeans because it gives that edgy classy look. I paired it with a soft pattern pair of pumps and this bright Gianni Bini clutch! This bag really pulls this whole outfit together. This would be perfect for a Thanksgiving outfit because it is comfy but looks fabulous!

I hope yall enjoyed my look! As always thanks for stopping by and if you like this look, shop below. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Talk to yall soon:)

Cranberry & Leopard

Happy Thursday! I am so happy it almost the weekend again. I am ready for a friends wedding and relaxing the rest of the time (which most likely will not happen lol). I still can’t believe next week is Thanksgiving, this year will be over in a blink of an eye!

I wanted to share this super cute outfit that really tells a lot about me this season. As I am sure most of you can tell by previous posts, that cranberry is by far my favorite color this season. I think I tend to lean more on the red tones ( I think because of my hair color).  I love how this look has a couple statement details that mesh very well together for this fall season. You can really dress it up or down but overall very comfortable. Let me know what you think of this look and as always thank you for stopping by.

Little Texas getaway

Looking for a weekend Texas getaway for any season of the year? This little town has so much to offer from wine tasting, shopping, floating the river, the famous Gruene Hall, Schlitterbahn waterpark and much more! I have visited many times and it never gets old. The summer we really enjoy floating the river, going to concerts, and did I mention there is a gorgeous lake nearby too?? It’s a great family friendly town that really has a bit for everyone. For the fall and winter months, I really enjoy the wine tasting and shopping. They tend to have more festivals this time of year so everyone walks around Gruene and enjoys the weather. The leaves are changing, the air is cooler and the food is always more comforting.

So my first getaway experience for yall is… drum roll please…….ISSSSSSSSS

NEW BRAUNFELS, TEXAS!!!

It’s a cute German town that offers a place to relax, shop, drink some wine and try great food. This is our go-to place! It’s not far from Corpus and plus the outlet mall is close to there too. So already a perfect reason to go!!!

We stayed at a house that is walking distance to downtown New Braunfels called Mellow Yellow. It was soooo cute! It has 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a great entertaining area and big backyard. I would for sure go back! Now take a look Inside:)

The house was amazing but the wine was even better! We went to Gruene and did a wine tasting at The Grapevine in Gruene. I think I may have found my new favorite wine. Its called Wedding Oak and it was delicious, so now I want to try them all. The names of all their wines are beyond cute because they go with the wedding theme. I think I enjoy it 10x more since I am currently planning a wedding.

New Braunfels is just a perfect little getaway! If you have visited or plan to visit let me know. I love feedback:)

Also, the dress is from Jewels. Seriously, so perfect for a wedding or a nice dinner and it is super comfortable yet form-fitting plus less than $100! My handbag is Chanel and I have not found a recent design that is similar. But I am always looking and when I find it I will notify yall. Also, my shoes are Jessica Simpson, I have a couple pairs in the same style just different colors. They go with so many outfits and can be dressed up or down. Did I mentions they are currently on Sale and they come in 3 different colors!!!

I hope yall enjoyed my first Little Texas Getaway. I plan to do more for yall as I travel. I love going new places, trying new food and new experiences. If you have any questions or suggestions on where to travel next contact me at Livingthecreellife@yahoo.com or comment.

Chex Mix Recipe – Holiday fav!

Happy Halloween! To say this treat is one of my fav treats is an understatement. I tend to only make this around the holidays because it lasts no time. I have grown up having my mom and Mimi make it every Halloween, Thanksgiving and  Christmas. It’s a holiday tradition!

Chex Mix Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups Corn Chex
  • 3 cups Rice Chex

  • 2 cups of honey nut cheerios ( I like the sweetness)
  • 1 cup mixed nuts (sometimes I like just cashews)
  • 1 cup bite-size pretzels
  • 1 cup of goldfish ( I like the baby ones)
  • 1 cup of buggles (original)
  • and any other ingredients you like that could go with this garlic bread bites, cheez-its and any other goodies you like for this salty treat.
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 4 tablespoons of season all salt
  • 8 tablespoons of Worcestershire Sauce ( the seasonings vary depending on how much flavor you like.) I tend to add more after I have made it for the first time)

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees
  2. You melt the butter and pour it in the pan.
  3. add the seasoning to the butter then stir.
  4. Once you have all that mixed together gradually pour all your dry ingredients into the pan.
  5. After you have it all stirred put in the oven for an hour and taking it out every 15 min to stir.

Velvet & Pearls

Happy Friday! I am sorry I have been MIA but have been super busy in the real estate world (which I want to do a post on that soon too). I am loving velvet and pearls for my fall fashion wardrobe this season. It has that casual, classy look and looks stylish yet comfortable.

I found these amazing pearl jeans at Zara. I am really loving their clothes, and I just recently started purchasing from there. They are only $50 and come in black as well. I may have to get both:)

The velvet top I actually got from one of fav stores, TjMaxx but I found a couple similar styles at my other favorite fashion store Nordstrom.  I am really loving this blush pink color, its a must have color for fall.

My booties are from Vince Camuto. They have a round tulip toe and a slick heel. They really are perfect for any fall outfit. They are currently 20% of right now. Don’t miss out, you really can’t go wrong!

As I am sure y’all have noticed, I am a CHANEL girl! Not only is their mascara my fav but their bags are a-m-a-z-i-n-g too! This Chanel cross body bag  is one of my fav statement pieces that I use for most dressy events as well as my casual days. Its light and can be used for any occasion. I have not been able to find a similar one but I always have my eye out and when I do I will let y’all know. The sunglasses are also Chanel and have a similar detail to my purse. I am obsessed! I have linked the similar ones here but the lens are pink. I would totally rock them though!

I hope y’all have a wonderful weekend! I am working on some more great pieces so stay tuned!

Thanks for stopping by and like always you can reach me at livingthecreellife@yahoo.com
